DOOM CAKES:

A cinematic tradition in which any beautifully decorated cake serves as a harbinger of imminent catastrophe (often including the destruction of said cake).

 

Jack and Jill (2011) Need I say more? Okay, good because I can’t without actually seeing the movie. Suffice to say that something bad happens to the cake, or that the party is ruined somehow. If I’m wrong, I will smear icing on a photo of Adam Sandler and eat it. Incidentally, Armond White has sunk to new depths of movie criticism in his defense of this movie. Or maybe he really does have microcephaly, as rumored? How sad.
